The Council (Board) of CPA Ireland resolved, on 24 March 2022, to adopt the following measures in support of recognising the professional qualifications of displaced Ukrainian nationals who are members of the Ukrainian Federation of Professional Accountants and Auditors and who wish to become members of CPA Ireland:

To make available to qualified applicants, free of charge, the texts and study materials on Irish Tax and Irish Law which equate to the Aptitude Test applicable for admission to CPA Ireland membership.

To waive all fees relating to the Aptitude Test, Admission to Membership of CPA Ireland, and the professional membership subscription itself for the first 12 months.

To provide, free of charge, appropriate CPD (Continuing Professional Development) for the first 12 months to support those members adapting to a new environment.

To support those members secure employment, CPA Ireland will provide career advisory services and access to the CPA Ireland online employment platform “Jobsearch”, free of charge.
CPA Ireland also recognises that some of those Ukrainian nationals who are displaced may not be fully qualified members of the accountancy profession in the Ukraine.
In respect of those who were studying to become members of the Ukraine Federation of Professional Accountants and Auditors, CPA Ireland undertakes to provide career advisory and access to Jobsearch in support of securing relevant employment in an accounting role in Ireland. CPA Ireland will also engage very sympathetically with any displaced Ukrainian nationals who wish to register as students with CPA Ireland.
All of the above services and supports can be provided online and virtually.
