DEIRDRE MCHUGH -
EMPLOYMENT LAW BARRISTER & FOUNDER, 353LEGAL

Deirdre McHugh, Barrister, is a Lecturer in Law at the GMIT and is a founder member of 353 Management & Legal Training Services. Deirdre is a strong advocate in educating businesses that prevention is far better than the cure and her focus is to avoid costly litigation by ensuring her clients have a deep understanding of all their legal compliance obligations by putting preventative strategies in place.

Deirdre graduated with a B.A. Degree (1988) and an LL.B. (Law) (1991) degree from NUI Galway. She then obtained her Barrister-at-Law degree (1994) from the Honorable Society of Kings Inns, Dublin and was awarded her Masters Degree by Research in Law (LL.M) (2003) from UCD.

Widely acknowledged as an expert in Employment Law, Deirdre has delivered many courses and seminars and provides consultancy on a variety of employment issues to a broad range of clients.
 

SHEILA STANLEY -
INTEGRATED & SUSTAINABILITY REPORTS CONSULTANT

Sheila Stanley is an ACCA certified Integrated Reporting Practitioner and has worked on numerous award-winning Integrated Reports, Sustainability Reports and Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) Reports developed against sustainability disclosure requirements such as the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) and the TCFD. She is currently pursuing a MSc in Sustainable Development with University College Dublin and possesses a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the University of London.

Mairéad Hennessy founded Taxkey in response to a market need for specialist tax advisory services by accounting and other professional advisors at competitive rates. Mairéad has a wealth of experience in advising on Irish tax matters, with specialties including business start up and growth, corporate structuring, property transactions, VAT, succession planning both for individuals and businesses, inheritance tax, retirement planning and wealth management. Máiréad delivers tax solutions for companies, not for profit organisations, sole traders and private individuals. Prior to setting up Taxkey Máiréad held tax roles in a “Big 4” Accountancy Practice, a “Top 5” law firm, a small accountancy practice and headed up the tax function in a large Irish corporate group. She is passionate about delivering the highest quality tax advice in a practical and professional manner.
 

TADHG TWOMEY -
GARDA NATIONAL ECONOMIC CRIME BUREAU

Tadhg Twomey is a Forensic Accountant with the Garda National Economic Crime Bureau and fellow of the ACCA. He has worked on money laundering investigations involving fraud, drugs and organised crime, trafficking in human beings and corruption. He represents Ireland as a member of the steering committee for the Association of Law Enforcement Forensic Accountants. He speaks on a number of police investigation training courses on the topic of follow the money for An Garda Síochána, UCD and CEPOL.

Martina Maher is an Associate Partner with Board Excellence, a leading international board consultancy and advisory practice that supports and empowers boards to excel in effectiveness, performance and corporate governance best practices.  It supports boards of companies across Ireland, the UK and internationally. She is an Independent Non-Executive Director and consultant with a portfolio of board and committee positions.  Previously, she had a highly successful executive career in leading organisations in Ireland and the UK.  Martina is a Chartered Director, a Chartered Accountant and holds a Law Degree.  Her areas of expertise include governance, strategy, risk management and internal audit.

Alan Nelson is the Founder and Managing Director of accountingcpd. Henry has significant experience in investigating financial crime, and has previously worked as a specialist law enforcement officer in this area.  
 

PETER BROWN -

Peter Brown has over 35 years’ experience in the financial markets and has managed treasury operations in financial institutions including Barclays, BNP, Ulster Bank and ACCBank.

Peter is an expert in foreign exchange, interest rate and market risk and has implemented treasury processes and procedures for a number of financial institutions. Throughout his banking career he advised clients on best practice with regards their treasury operations and has continued this work as a consultant.

As chief dealer and subsequently general manager of treasury, pensions and investments he became expert in structured finance, funding, trading, investments and risk management.

Peter’s economic analysis and expertise about the financial markets, is highly sought after by the Irish and international media. DR. MARY COLLINS -

Dr. Mary Collins  is a Chartered Psychologist, Author and Executive Coach who has been working in the Leadership Development/Talent Management field for 20 years. Her current role as Senior Executive Development Specialist with RCSI Centre for Positive Health involves working with senior leaders in the healthcare sector to develop their management and leadership capabilities through a range of executive development and academic programmes up to PhD level. Mary also leads a successful business psychology practice working in a range of sectors in the area of talent & leadership development. 
Mary is passionate about leveraging the strengths of the Multigenerational Workplace and is a renowned key speaker on this topic. Her other research interests are Women in Leadership and Emotional Intelligence and Leadership.
Prior to joining RCSI, Mary was Head of Talent and Learning for Deloitte Ireland for 7 years.
Mary is an Accredited Senior Professional Executive Coach, Coach Assessor and Supervisor with the European Coaching & Mentoring Council (EMCC) and Co-chair of the Coaching Psychology Division of the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI), also a council member of the Irish Institute of Learning & Development. In December 2019, Mary was one of 15 people awarded a ‘Coaching Hero Award’ by Minister of State for Higher Education from Kingstown College to mark her contribution to the coaching field in Ireland.
Mary’s doctoral research has been published as part of the book ‘Managing Professionals & other Smart People’ in 2015. Mary most recent book ‘Recruiting Talented Professionals’ was published in May 2021. Her next book ‘Emotional Intelligence & Dentistry’ is due to be published in 2023..
