April 2020 Examinations Deferred to August 2020
Considering the developing impact of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, and in protecting the safety and wellbeing of all students, CPA Ireland has made the decision to defer the April 2020 examinations in all locations in Ireland and at our overseas examination centres until August 2020. A detailed timetable for the August 2020 examinations can be found here.
This decision was not taken lightly and has been made following advice issued by the Health Service Executive, Health Protection Surveillance Centre (HPSC) and the relevant Irish and international health agencies. In making this decision at this point, we hope it will make it easier for you to alter your study plans accordingly.
Please note that all application fees for the April 2020 examinations will be automatically transferred to future exam sittings. Students should also note that the deferment of the April 2020 examinations will not affect your number of exam sittings allowed to pass a particular level, for example, if April 2020 was your final sitting, this will automatically carry forward to the August 2020 exam sitting.
Obviously, these are uncertain times and we feel that the above action will provide our students with clarity on how to plan your studies over the coming weeks and months.
We are aware that this must be a very difficult time for you having worked hard to prepare for these examinations. We are here to support you with any queries or questions you may have so please feel free to contact the Education & Training Department at CPA Ireland, contact details can be found by clicking here.
