Women in Business 2019

Balance for Business

Recent research from Grant Thornton reveals that, in Ireland, only 24% of senior leadership roles are currently held by women. Statistics for the number of board positions held by companies on the ISEQ were even lower (8%). As the first professional accountancy institute to achieve gender parity in its membership, CPA Ireland is at the forefront of correcting this imbalance.
Our annual Women in Business events are key networking opportunities for female professionals to share leadership strategies, build their own networks and hear from successful female leaders and entrepreneurs. This years line up of speakers includes a senior executive from AIB, a senior marketing manager in online broadcasting and a speaker from public affairs.

In 2019, CPA is proud to partner with AIB as the sponsor of the  Women in Business evenings in Dublin and Cork.

We will be joined by leading female entrepreneurs and business leaders at this year's event.

AIB is proud to be backing CPA at Women in Business 2019 in Dublin and Cork.

CPA’s support and commitment to their members is synonymous with AIB’s purpose to back our customers to achieve their dreams and ambitions. The significance that CPA places on community is shared by AIB, and we reflect this in our commitment to business customers.
AIB is fully committed to supporting current and prospective business women with financial support and last year launched a €100m Senior Loan Fund directed at Women in Enterprise. Last year AIB also launched a €3m Discovery Programme within the Frontline Ventures II €60m equity fund.

Similar to CPA, AIB recognised through independent research that women wanted coaching, mentoring and connectivity in a way that helps them take the next steps in growing their business. In 2017 AIB launched The Women in Enterprise Programme. This programme see business owners come together in locations across Ireland for a unique opportunity to grow their leadership skills and have the strong support of fellow business owners to act as their confidants, share experiences and business ideas. The programme creates an environment to grow as a leader and gain new skills to further progress business.
