The High Court has sanctioned CPA Ireland’s proposed scheme of arrangement which will facilitate our amalgamation with Chartered Accountants Ireland. The amalgamation will become effective on 1 September this year and will create the largest professional body on the island of Ireland. Following the amalgamation, our unified organisation will have a stronger voice and be better positioned to advocate on behalf of our profession.
Thanks to all students who attended our webinar on 12 July. This was jointly hosted by the Education Teams of both Institutes and explained how the amalgamation will affect your examinations, training and admission to membership.
For those who did not attend the webinar, it is available on our dedicated amalgamation web page for students. If you have any queries regarding the amalgamation, please email Studentdata@cpaireland.ie
In the coming weeks students will be advised of the process for registering with Chartered Accountants Ireland. Please do not register with Chartered Accountants Ireland directly as this will lead to duplicate accounts when we transfer your data over.
