Training Records 2023 - Final Reminder

Have you submitted your 2023 training records yet? Now is the time to get your 2023 records organised and submitted.

The deadline for submission of any training completed in 2023 is 31 January 2024. It is essential that these are approved by your mentor and submitted to CPA Ireland by this deadline. Please remind your mentor to close each quarter as we will only be notified after each quarter is closed.

Please note, training records will be reviewed during January and February, in the order in which they are received by the Institute. You will receive a notification when your records have been reviewed/ accepted/ rejected by the Institute. This email notification will come from noreply@cpaireland.ie. Please ensure your mailbox is set up to receive these emails (eg that they don’t go to a junk mail or clutter folder).

Please note, that in addition to confirming that your records have been rejected or accepted the email will also include a note. This will typically confirm the time period and number of hours accepted but may also include additional content which may provide some guidance as to the progress of your training. It is vital that you read all of the content of the email. See example below:

Trainees who do not comply with the requirement to log their training each quarter, may find that although they have more than three year’s relevant experience, they are unable to apply for membership on completion of examinations, as they do not have sufficient training logged and accepted by CPA.

All trainees are required to submit training records, there are no exceptions as this is a vital element of your admission to membership. It is each trainee’s responsibility to log their training, review it with their mentor and ensure that the mentor approves and submits the training to the Institute.

The Training Page of the CPA Ireland website contains all further information on training requirements for CPA students. Here you can access the breakdown of each training area, how to navigate the online system, FAQs, and some information on competency guides if you are planning to apply for membership in 2024.
