Important changes to CPD Returns from January 2025
Members in Industry
A detailed CPD return is not required for 2025.
The Institute’s CPD Regulations provide that renewal of membership acknowledges a member’s CPD obligations.
Please be aware that you absolutely must keep records of all the CPD activities you engage in as you will be asked to produce those records as part of the CPD audit process. Records must be held for a minimum of five years.
Practising Certificate Holders & Statutory Auditors
A CPD declaration must be made by a practising certificate holder and a statutory auditor/responsible individual.
Members’ records are inspected in accordance with a programme set by the Institute. For further information on this
please refer to the Institute’s CPD Guidance.
The Institute reviews the CPD records of each responsible individual at least once every six years. Registered auditors and responsible individuals must ensure CPD records are complete and available for inspection when requested. CPD records should be retained for at least six years.
