The CPA qualification offers members the opportunity to follow their own career path whatever it may be, enables members to grow that career through valuable education and employment. 

CPA is the most widely recognised accountancy professional designation in the world with over 1 million accountants calling themselves CPAs. 

The Institute, our Members and Students know the value and respect demanded with the CPA qualification. The entire team at the Institute endeavours to further enhance this and promote the CPA qualification by recruiting new students and growing the number of people using the CPA designation.

CPA Ireland promotes innovation in new products and programmes that demonstrate to employers our commitment to constantly evolving our offering to align with the high standard of the professional world. Key examples include the Job Search function on the website, the CPD & Further Learning programme, introduction of the CPA Ireland Learning Management System, Canvas and the new online technical resource search function

Throughout the year the Institute provides a number of free CPD events and webinars for all Members. In 2018 we provided 4 free CPD webinars and a further free Institute update (2 hours CPD) in nine locations nationwide.

We work hard for the betterment and development of the profession by working on your behalf through lobbying government and developing relationships with key stakeholders.

In difficult times the Institute aims to provide, where possible, support for Members who for whatever reason find themselves in difficulty. These supports include the Member Benevolent Fund and discounted rates on subscriptions and CPD

The CPA Benevolent Fund was incorporated on 14 May 2000.  The aim of the CPA Benevolent Fund is to provide financial assistance to members, students and/or their dependents/families who, through no fault of their own find themselves in financial difficulty and whose circumstances meet the criteria set by the Directors for the payment of grants.
