Reporting accountants are reminded of the extensive changes that take effect for periods commencing on or after 1 June 2023 due to the Solicitors Accounts Regulations 2023. The Regulations imposed new obligations on solicitors, and additional testing requirements for the reporting accountant, as well as introducing an amended report format. Amongst these changes, balancing statements must be prepared every three months, and the report must be submitted withing five months of the year end. See
