Revenue has just confirmed that it will not apply immediate late filing surcharges due tomorrow

Following extensive lobbying by CPA Ireland on behalf of members we can confirm that the following information was communicated to us this afternoon.
 
Revenue will not apply immediate late filing surcharges on income tax returns due tomorrow given the difficulties facing taxpayers under Level 5 restrictions. Revenue will take a pragmatic approach to the application of surcharges in relation to the 31 October 2020 income tax deadline.
