In situations where a company understands or has reasonable cause to believe that there has been a change to the particulars of a beneficial owner, it should issue a notice under Regulation 11- to the natural person to confirm occurrence of the change.
The beneficial owner must then confirm if a change has occurred and provide the date and confirm or correct the particulars of the change to allow an update to be made to the Beneficial Ownership Register.
The Company is then obliged to file details of the changes made to the Beneficial Ownership Register on the Central Register within 14 days of the change. Please refer to the RBO website for details.
