Practising certificate holders are reminded that the deadline for the receipt of an application for the renewal of certificates is 29th February 2020.

CPD Reminder for Investment Intermediaries
Firms are reminded of CPD requirements in respect of Category 1, 2.1 and 2.2 held authorisations, where grandfathered status was availed of in 2007, that 15 hours CPD in Investment Business must be completed each year including 1 hour of Ethics.

In recent court proceedings, The Irish Times reported that a personal insolvency practitioner has been ordered to pay legal costs after providing misleading information about his client in the first ruling of its kind.
Accountancy Conference 2020

In respect of financial statements and schools, it has been noted that issues have been identified with these reports for schools. CCAB-I (Consultative Committee of Accountancy Bodies in Ireland) have engaged in discussions with the FSSU on this matter.
