If you have yet to submit training for Quarter 3, please log in to your
MyCPA profile and record your Q3 training as soon as possible.
It is important that once your mentor approves your training, they also click the “close quarter” button. If this is not done, CPA will not be notified, and your training records will not be reviewed. If there are any issues with the training logged, you will be provided with feedback via email to ensure that you are on track to comply with the Institute’s training requirements.
Information for mentors on the review and approval of training records can be found
here.
Failure to log training can and will significantly delay your admission into membership. If you do not have the required training submitted when all examinations are complete, you will remain a CPA student and will not receive your qualification until the training requirements are met.
We would like to remind students of the training that is required by CPA for you to become a qualified member:
- A minimum of three years supervised training: We regard a full training year to be between 44 – 48 weeks as this allows for holidays and study leave. This means students are required to submit a minimum of 132 weeks total to qualify.
- In-depth level of training, in two training areas: To become qualified, you must complete at least 26 weeks of Advanced (EvRR) training with at least 13 weeks in each of the two areas. These two areas then form the basis for your application to membership as you must be able to demonstrate in-depth competence in both.
- Final year of training: Your final year must be completed in conjunction with, or after the Strategic level of studies.
For further information about the CPA training requirements and how to log your training, we advise you to watch our recently recorded
webinar on training records here.
Please note, you should continue to log your training until advised by the Institute that you have complied with our training requirements.
