The amalgamation with Chartered Accountants Ireland will come into effect on 1 September 2024.
We have already started the process of migrating data from our student database to Chartered Accountants Ireland in two phases as outlined below:
Phase 1 – data relating to students who did not register for CPA exams in August 2024. This data has already been sent and CAI are in the process of transferring this to their student database.
Phase 2 - data relating to students who registered for CPA exams in August 2024. This data will be sent after the results of the August 2024 exams have been released.

studentdata@cpaireland.ie) will continue to be available. We will be working with our colleagues in Chartered Accountants Ireland to assist our students as you transition.
Key Dates:
- 1 September – amalgamation with CAI takes effect
- 16 September – CAP1 and CAP2 Programme enrolment deadline
- 20 September - CAP1 Induction
- 25 September - CAP1 Course Commencement
- 30 September - FAE Programme enrolment deadline
- 4 October - CAP2 Induction
- 11 October - CPA Ireland August 2024 examination results issued. Students awaiting exam results in October will then be able to register for CAP1/ CAP2/FAE courses
- 11 October – FAE Induction
- 23 October – FAE Course Commencement
- 1 December – final date for CPA Ireland students to register for CAI courses for the 2024/25 academic year.
