Subjects Studied

Management in Organisations

The aim of this subject is to introduce students to the development of management theory and practice, with particular reference to concepts, functions and the integration of activities

Business Law & Professional Ethics

The aim of this subject is to enable students to become familiar with the principles and practice of business law and case law relating to the role and work of an accountant

Economics & Business Planning

The aim of this subject is to introduce students to the nature and scope of economics and related business planning, with a focus on the practical application of theoretical concepts


The aim of this subject is to introduce the nature and role of accounting information and its importance for the effective managementof an organisation

After the Certificate

Students who pass their 4 exams can progress in to the Foundation stage of exams & train to become a fully qualified CPA.

Relevant Information

Online Learning

The Certificate is delivered online by eLearning through Griffith College Dublin. Students will have recorded lectures, manuals and tutor support for each subject.

Exam Sittings

Exams for the Certificate are held in December & May each year. Students can sit 1,2,3 or 4 exams per sitting. Exams are MCQs.

Mature Student Entry Requirements

If you are 23 years of age or above, you will be required to provide a copy of your ID (passport, drivers licence, birth cert)

School Leaver Entry Requirements

If you are below the age of 23, you will have to provide a copy of your Leaving Certificate results to meet the minimum requirements.


Students will pay the €130 student subscription to CPA. The cost of the education for the Certificate is €1640 in total.
