•   Do I keep my CPA membership number?

Yes, during the transition stage of the amalgamation you will continue to use your CPA member number. Once the new IT systems are in place, you will receive notification when you are assigned a new member number from Chartered Accountants Ireland. 
 

•   What designation letters can I use from 1st Septemember?

You can find detailed information on designation letters here.
 

•   Do I need to update any information on my profile?

No, there is no need to update the information on your profile on the CPA Ireland website. 
 

•   Do I still access my profile through the CPA website?

Yes you will still access your profile through the CPA website. Once the new IT system is implemented, you will be provided with the full information on accessing your profile through the Chartered Accountants Ireland website. Members of CPA Ireland will continue to log into their profiles through the CPA Ireland website for the following purposes:

• Updating CPD Hours 
• Completing your CPD return for 2023 and 2024 CPD
• Ensuring all your details are correct 
• Paying your subscription for 2025 
• Access to Technical resources * 
  • *  Please note that any technical content that is behind the member login on the Chartered Accountants Ireland website will be mirrored on the CPA Ireland website to ensure you have full access to relevant resources.

•   Will I receive log in information for the Chartered Accountants Ireland website?

During the transition stage you will not receive log in information for the Chartered Accountants Ireland Website. Once the new IT system is in place, you will be provided with full information on accessing your profile through the Chartered Accountants Ireland website.
 

•   How do I apply for admission/re-admission to membership of Chartered Accountants Ireland?

All CPA Ireland members are carried across to Chartered Accountants Ireland on 1^st September 2024. If individuals are not CPA members on 1^st September, they will not be admitted to Chartered Accountants Ireland.
